PER QUARTETTI D’ARCHI JUNIOR

L’Associazione Piero Farulli -la musica un bene da restituire ONLUS indice il Secondo Concorso Internazionale Online Piero Farulli per Quartetti d’archi Junior.
Il concorso si svolge nell’ambito delle manifestazioni promosse dall’Associazione per diffondere la cultura del far musica insieme e in particolare la conoscenza del repertorio per Quartetto d’Archi in quanto strumento privilegiato di educazione all’ascolto, al rispetto dell’altro, paradigma della società ideale, e perciò particolarmente caro a Piero Farulli, viola del leggendario Quartetto Italiano, fondatore della Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
Per l’ammissione i Quartetti, (ciascun complesso non dovrà superare complessivamente l’età di ottanta anni e nessun componente potrà individualmente superare i 22 anni d’età alla data del 28 Dicembre 2022), dovranno far pervenire entro e non oltre il 28 Dicembre 2022 una registrazione video in formato mp4 della durata di circa15 minuti con almeno un tempo (allegro) di un’opera per quartetto d’archi ( nella formazione classica di due violini, viola e violoncello) e un adagio (di altro autore) di un lavoro per quartetto d’archi a scelta nonché la lettera di presentazione del docente che ha curato la preparazione del complesso.
Il materiale video in formato MP4 risoluzione massima 1920×1080, dimensione massima 2Gb, andrà spedito via internet con il sistema wetransfer all’indirizzo mail concorso@associazionepierofarulli.com
unitamente alla scheda di iscrizione di ciascun Quartetto debitamente compilata e controfirmata dai genitori o da soggetto esercente la patria potestà di ciascun componente minorenne. La scheda di iscrizione può essere scaricata dal link posto a conclusione del presente bando.
La commissione selezionerà, in base all’ascolto e con valutazione incontestabile della documentazione audio pervenuta, i complessi da ammettere al concorso per un numero massimo di sei.
Ai Quartetti ammessi sarà comunicata entro il 5 gennaio 2023 la ammissione a mezzo mail inviata all’indirizzo indicato nella scheda d’iscrizione. E’ richiesta conferma della partecipazione.
Il Concorso si svolgerà on line nei giorni 15 e 16 gennaio 2023 e si svilupperà in due fasi: semifinale e finale.
Alla semifinale è richiesta l’esecuzione di un’opera completa della durata di circa 20 minuti e di un adagio di altro autore.
Per la finale i complessi ammessi, per un numero massimo di tre, dovranno eseguire per intero un quartetto a loro scelta fra quelli già eseguiti e uno di nuova esecuzione. Non vincolante per la partecipazione alla finale, ma raccomandata, è l’esecuzione di uno dei lavori premiati al concorso internazionale di composizione Piero Farulli per quartetti d’archi junior edizione 2021 o precedenti.
La giuria sarà presieduta da Bruno Giuranna. Le decisioni della giuria saranno inappellabili
Il concorso prevede l’assegnazione di un primo, secondo e terzo premio. Il primo premio avrà l’importo di 3.000,00 euro, il secondo premio di 2.000,00 euro e il terzo di 1.000,00 euro.
E’ inoltre previsto un premio speciale per la miglior esecuzione del brano contemporaneo (€ 800,00) e un premio di incoraggiamento (800,00 €) per il quartetto più giovane ammesso al concorso.
I Quartetti vincitori il primo e il secondo premio saranno ospiti degli Amici della Musica di Firenze per un concerto che potrà essere trasmesso on line in data da definire. È obbligatoria per i Quartetti vincitori la partecipazione. Il Festival internazionale Virtuoso e Bel Canto ospiterà nella stagione estiva un concerto dei Quartetto vincitore il primo premio
L’Associazione Piero Farulli si riserva di invitare nella stagione 2023/2024 i quartetti vincitori,

FOR JUNIOR STRING QUARTETS
ANNOUNCEMENT
The Associazione Piero Farulli – La Musica un bene da restituire ONLUS announces the Second Piero Farulli International Online Competition for Junior String Quartets.
The competition takes place as part of the events promoted by the Association to spread the culture of making music together and in particular the knowledge of the repertoire for String Quartet as a privileged instrument of education to listening, to respect for others, a paradigm of the ideal society, and therefore particularly dear to Piero Farulli, viola of the legendary Italian Quartet, founder of the Fiesole School of Music.
For admission, the Quartets, (each ensemble must not exceed the age of eighty years overall and no member may individually exceed 22 years of age on 28 December 2022 ), must arrive no later than 28 December 2022 a video recording in mp4 format lasting about 15 minutes with at least one tempo ( allegro ) of an opera for string quartet (in the classical formation of two violins, viola and cello) and an adagio (by another author) by a work for string quartet of your choice as well as the letter of introduction from the teacher who oversaw the preparation of the ensemble.
The video material in MP4 format, maximum resolution 1920 × 1080, maximum size 2Gb, will be sent via the internet with the wetransfer system to the email address concorso@associazionepierofarulli.com
together with the registration form of each Quartet duly completed and countersigned by the parents or by the person exercising the parental authority of each minor member. The registration form can be downloaded from the link placed at the end of this announcement.
The commission will select, on the basis of listening and with indisputable evaluation of the audio documentation received, the groups to be admitted to the competition for a maximum number of six.
Admitted Quartets will be notified by 5 January 2023 of their admission by e-mail sent to the address indicated in the registration form. Confirmation of participation is required.
The Competition will take place online on 15 and 16 January 2023 and will be developed in two phases: semifinal and final.
The semifinal requires the performance of a complete work lasting about 20 minutes and an adagio by another author.
For the final, the admitted ensembles, for a maximum number of three, will have to perform a whole quartet of their choice among those already performed and a new one. Not binding for participation in the final, but recommended, is the performance of one of the works awarded at the Piero Farulli international composition competition for junior string quartets 2021 edition or earlier.
The jury will be chaired by Bruno Giuranna . The jury’s decisions will be final
The competition involves the assignment of a first, second and third prize. The first prize will have the amount of € 3,000.00, the second prize of € 2,000.00 and the third of € 1,000.00.
There is also a special prize for the best performance of the contemporary piece (€ 800.00) and an encouragement prize (€ 800.00) for the youngest quartet admitted to the competition.
The Quartets winning the first and second prizes will be guests of the Amici della Musica di Firenze for a concert that can be broadcast online on a date to be defined. Participation is mandatory for the winning Quartets. The Virtuoso and Bel Canto International Festival will host a concert by the first prize winning Quartet in the summer season
The Piero Farulli Association reserves the right to invite the winning quartets in the 2023/2024 season,
