Marco Rapetti, pianist and researcher, studied in Genoa, Florence and New York, where he obtained a Master’s and Doctorate from the Juilliard School. Winner of various prizes in national and international competitions (including the W. Kapell Competition in Washington and the RAI Chamber Music Competition for the European Year of Music 1985), he has played in Europe, America, Japan and Australia. He has recorded for Fonit-Cetra, Dynamic, Stradivarius, Frame, Phoenix Classics, Naxos and Brilliant.
At 21, Rapetti began teaching at the Fiesole School of Music and at the Verdi Conservatory in Milan.
Visiting Professor at various European, Australian and American universities and conservatories, he has been teaching at the Florence Conservatory since 2011.
